My Back Yard

Darn it all!  Here I was with a perfect picture taking opportunity and I missed it.  Twice!

I was sitting out by the side of the pool watching Caleb and his friend, Preston, swim.  It was about 7:30 and close to dusk.  I'm talking to Hannah on the phone when I go, "OMGosh!  Is that a coyote?  I think that's a coyote!  That is a coyote!  Oh that is so cool!  Wait...Hannah, can coyotes jump fences?"  Hannah, my resident expert on any type of animal responds with absolute authority on the subject "Ummm...I don't know."  What?!   What good is a 13year old self-proclaimed animal expert if they can't answer an important question like that?

Well the coyote was definitely interested in all the commotion and goings on cause he kept eye balling us as he walked the fence line.  Then he just up and ran back into the Reserve.  Oh, for those of you who don't know, our new home borders a Reserve.  I mean literally 20ft outside our property line is the Reserve.  Cool, huh?  Except for the coyote thing.

Then a little while later I'm talking to my Dad saying "Happy Father's Day" when all of a sudden there is a cute little bunny rabbit.  "Hello bunny rabbit" I say.  Oh darn it, another missed photo-op.  Wait, which way are you going cute little bunny rabbit?  Nooooooooo!  Don't go that way!  That way is the evil fence jumping coyote!  "Stay away from the light bunny rabbit!".

Oh, I just love my new house.  Gotta remember the camera.  And it does no good to have a camera on your phone if your talking on it!  Ha!  So much for down sizing the electronics.  Evil plan hatched by all I'm sure!

Well, hope you all had a great Sunday and Father's Day.  My hubby had to work, but then again we are off to Texas the end of the month to spend some time with my Dad.  So I cooked my DH a nice "breakfast" when he woke up and sent him to work with a full tummy of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and apple turnovers.

(And if any of you guys out there in J-land tell anyone I cooked...off with your heads!)

How Do You Communicate?

Got this from Patrick...

You Communicate With Your Ears
You love conversations, both as a listener and a talker.
What people say is important to you, and you're often most affected by words, not actions.
You love to hear complements from others. And when you're upset, you often talk to yourself.
Music is very important to you. It's difficult to find you without your iPod (umm...really?).

So...how do you communicate?

Saturday Six - Episode 114

This edition of the "Saturday Six" returns to the more normal, random questions you've come to know and love.

But first, for the second week in a row, Carly of "Ellipsis...Suddenly Carly was first to play! Congratulations again, Carly!

Here are this week's "Saturday Six" questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal...but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! To be counted as "first to play," you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. Enjoy!

1. What vegetable can you not get enough of? What vegetable that you've actually tried cooking do you hate, no matter what is done to it?  OMGosh!  I love okra & squash, but my family hate it.  My Mom came out last month and we both had a picnic.  I hate mushrooms with a passion!

2. Have you ever given your father one of those tacky flashing ties as a Father's Day gift? What's the "worst" gift you've ever given your dad?  I think so…I have vivid memories of my Dad taking scissors to some ties.  The “worst” gift was no gift at all when I was mad at him.

3. When is the last time you donated clothes to a charity drive? If you had to guess, what percentage of the clothes in your closet right now no longer fit?  I donate all the time.  I also donate down to my younger (and thinner) sisters.  Oh, don’t ask me about what doesn’t fit.  Ask me about what I’m holding onto so I will fit into it again.LOL

4. Take the quiz: Where should you spend your summer vacation?

You Should Spend Your Summer at the Beach

You're a free spirit who is always thinking of new ways to have fun.
And you don't just love summer... you live for it.
So, you really should blow off your responsibilities and head to the beach!

5. If you could spend one week anywhere in the world or two weeks at home relaxing, which would you choose?  I would want to spend time anywhere there was a NICE beach and a CLEAN ocean.  Know of any?

6. Do you tend to be more of a morning person or a night owl? If you could, would you become the opposite?  Night owl for sure.  I work nights.  Even on the nights (like tonight) that I’m not working, I’m up late.  I would never, ever, want to change!

Peek-a-Boo

Oh my gosh!  Can't believe it's been so long since I've posted an entry.  Been consumed with a new house and move.  We are in our new house...kinda.  Still getting stuff out of the old one.  Ugh!  I hate moving, but I love our new house.  I will have to play catch-up.

I'm on David's puter cause mine isn't set up yet so I don't have a picture of our new house.  Have to post one later gator.
