Robin's 5'er 12/23/05

Well...since I was working last Friday, I thought I would go ahead and answer these today, just in time for the next round. Especially as I have been so anti-social lately. And thank you one and all for pointing that out to me ;)

We here they are, my answers to the 5'er from Mesa, AZ:

The 5'er via Tempe, Arizona!!

Hi guys!!!

It's Friday and it is time for what I call "THE 5'er!"

If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. When you have answered them come back and leave a link in my comment section. On the following Friday I will post your links and a new set of questions! Have fun!

I am having a hard time getting my 5'er graphic loaded...gosh darn macintosh!!! So this might have to be a naked entry until I can figure something else out.

Let's play anyway!!!

1. What is the most fun you ever had on New Year's eve?

I usually spend a quiet evening with my family. I hate getting out and risking life and limb driving with all the festive (need I say drunk) people out there. This year though, we are going to a Phoenix Coyotes Hockey game!

2. Have you ever made a New Year's resolution and actually stuck with it.

Um…that hurts my brain too much so the answer must be no.

3. Are you going to make any resolutions this year, if so what will they be?

I actually hate making resolutions cause they are usually broken before January is even over. I just try and do my best each year and live with my mistakes, which sometimes can be a bitter pill to swallow.

4. What is your biggest regret for the year 2005? Would you change it if you could?

My biggest regret for 2005 is I still let the past upset me and I make “mountains out of molehills” as my Nanny was fond of saying.

5. What is the best thing to happen to you in the year 2005?

Moving to AZ. Although it is far from my family, we really like it here.

I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year!! Lots of love from me to you!!
                                                                                        ~Robin~

The 5'er 12/9/05

Okay, my sister Kathryn was complaining that I haven't posted anything much lately. I've been lazy, anti-social, whatever. I actually had answered this last Friday, but Robin wanted a picture and I kept meaning to get to it, but obviously I haven't. So....I'm posting it w/o the pic. Sorry Robin! But better nate than lever!

Hi guys!!!

It's Friday (ALMOST) and it is time for what I call "THE 5'er!"

If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. When you have answered them come back and leave a link in my comment section. On the following Friday I will post your links and a new set ofquestions! Have fun!

Let's play!!!

Today, er...tonight's theme is Jingle jangle jingle...all things that jingle.

1. Did you ever wear jingle bells on your shoes when you were a kid? Yeah, I can think of wearing bells to school on the designated “bell” day. Also used to wear them as a grown up to go Christmas Shopping.

2. Thinking about tv commercials...do you have a favorite jingle? Something that when you see it sticks in your head all day? OMGosh…you are hurting my brain! I used to know a bunch (like “I’m a Pepper, You’re a Pepper” and “I’d Like to Buy the World a Coke”), but these days I hardly watch much TV except on Court TV, USA, Discovery, etc., and I don’t really pay that much attention to the commercials.

3. Gotta little change in your pocket going jingle, jingle, jing? Do you carry change in your pocket? Do you toss it in a can when you get home for a rainy day? Have you dropped any in the Salvation Army bucket yet this year? Only have change in my pocketbook for so long. Little Caleb Marc always needs a “quarter”. And if that doesn’t deplete me the throwing pennies in fountains does. And if that does work, then I empty into our “change bucket” for a rainy day. I’ve cashed in as much as $120 before. And no…I must not be feeling charitable this year cause I’ve yet to drop anything in the red bucket.

4. When you sing Jingle Bells do you sing the nice version or the one where Batman smells and Robin laid an egg? Hey...for the record I DO NOT Lay eggs. Oh…it just depends on how silly we are at the moment. Get the kids to join in and who knows what will happen!

5. Take a picture of something jingly...and old lady boobs don't count. Could be a bell...a wind chime...be creative. Post it when you are done. If you don't have the ability to take a pic, tell us about something jingly in your home. It's a wind chime from my step-daughter hanging on my desk (lot's of hot air there).

There you go...have fun and come back tomorrow for my super neato surprise entry! LOL

Give me a few minutes to post in the 5'er journal where I put the links to all those who played The 5'er last week!!

Ho Ho Ho!

Tuesday Two - Episode 9

Play along at Patrick's Weekender!

For those who have never played, the rules are simple: I offer two different questions, both related to the same topic, but you only choose one of them to actually answer.

Last week, Jamilyn of "Quiz Me: Jamilyn's Quiz Central" was first to answer the question about "Charity." Congratulations, Jamilyn.

Now, onto this week's choice of questions. And remember: don't answer both questions! You'll find out why next week!

THIS WEEK'S TOPIC: THE FUTURE

QUESTION A:
You are given the chance to open one of three envelopes. The first, labelled "WHEN," will reveal the exact date and time of your death; the second, labelled "HOW," will reveal the method of your demise, and the third, marked "VALUE," would reveal how much or how little you will be remembered after you're gone. If you had to select and read the contents of one of the envelopes, which would you choose and why?
I also choose A. Like Betty, I really don't want to know the time or manner of my death, although I do sometimes think about it. I work in an ER, afterall, and I see some pretty horrendous stuff. But I would like to know if people would value or miss me. I think we would all like to be someone that people would miss, especially by our loved ones. I try to live each day so that "When you die, even the undertaker will be sorry" (Mark Twain).
or

QUESTION B:
You receive an email that is sent to you from yourself 10 years in the future. After reading the first paragraph, you recognize your distinctive style and there are enough authenticating details to eliminate any doubt but thatthe letter is -- somehow -- from your future self. The second paragraph indicates that there are three critical dates coming in the next ten years that you need to be aware of, so that you can make "better decisions" than the ones this future self made. If the scenarios described did NOT contain the actual decision this alternate you already made, but only focused on what conflict you'd be faced with so that you could have advance notice to think about how you might react, would you be willing to read about those three events?

For each pair, choose A or B, (indicate which question you're answering!) then either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered "first to play," a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.)

Remember: choose one or the other in each pair...not both

Sunday Seven - Episode 14

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

PLAY ALONG...

Now that November sweeps is over, the world focuses on the holiday season, and television stations and networks are scrambling to fill their schedules with holiday programming throughout the month. That should get you started in your pondering about this week's question.

But first, it's time to recognize Betty of "Of Mini-paws and menopause," as the first person to answer last week's question about gift ideas! Congratulations, Betty!

On to the challenge!

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
What holiday movies or television specials are a regular part of your family's holiday rituals? Are there certain movies or shows that you really like to watch year after year? List up to seven productions that really help get you in the spirit of the season.

Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered "first to play," a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.)

  1. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
  2. Holiday Inn
  3. White Christmas
  4. It’s A Wonderful Life (not more than once, though)
  5. A Christmas Carol
  6. The Christmas Story
  7. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original animated)

Saturday Six - Episode 86

PLAY ALONG AT PATRICK'S WEEKENDER... Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Here's the latest edition of the Six!

For those who'd like to join in on the fun, playing is simple: you can either answer the questions in this journal or you can answer them in your own blog and leave a link. It is strongly recommended that you answer the journals in your blog and post the link...since several of the people who are playing have relocated away from AOL, it's important that everyone knows where your new (or temporary) blogging homes are, so if you don't mind, leave a first name and your journal's link, just so we can find you easier!

You don't have to have relocated away from AOL to play: AOL journal writers are as welcome as ever.

But before the questions, the tradition of the "Saturday Six" is to recognize the first one to play the week before. It was EmmapeelDallas, of "talking to myself," who was the first person to play last week. Congratulations!

Here are this week's "Saturday Six" questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal...but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! To be counted as "first to play," you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. Enjoy!

1. Is it a "Christmas Tree" or a "Holiday Tree?" Christmas Tree!

2. When you purchase a DVD, what of the following are you most interested in watching first: the movie itself, the director's commentary, the deleted scenes, the bloopers or the behind-the-scenes documentary, and why? Well, I would answer the movie itselt with subtitles (cause I have a genetic hearing loss) to catch what I missed at the movies. Hannah would say she gets it for the rest of the story.

3. What would you most like to accomplish before the year is over? The enternal quest to lose weight!

4. Take this quiz: After you enter your birthday, you'll be given a lot of facts about your age and astrology: How old are you in dog years? Your age is the equivalent of a dog that is 6.00821917808219 years old. (You're still chasing cats!)

5. From the same quiz, what does it say your "Life Path Number" is, and do you agree with its description? You were born on a Sunday under the astrological sign Sagittarius. Your Life path number is 9. Well, I agree with most of it except the artistic part.

6. Do you have a piece of jewelry with your birthstone in it? If so, how often do you wear it? No…my birthstone is this ugly yellow…and I really hate yellow.

Robin's 5'er

PLAY ALONG WITH ROBIN!

Hi guys!!! It's Friday and it is time for what I call "THE 5'er!"

If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. When you have answered them come back and leave a link in my comment section. On the following Friday I will post your links and a new set ofquestions! Have fun!

Let's play!!!

1. Where is the furthest you have traveled for Christmas and will you be traveling this year? Well…I usually travel to Texas cause that is where the majority of my family lives. I think the furthest I have traveled to DFW is from Sumter, SC. Glad I don’t ever have to do that again! We did just travel to DFW from Phoenix for Thanksgiving. Does that count a little bit?

2. Do you celebrate any other holiday this month? Kwanza? Chanukah? Festivus? We just celebrate Christmas.

3. Who is the hardest person to shop for on your Christmas list and why do you think they are so hard to buy for? No question about it…my husband. Why? Cause he buys everything I can think of BEFORE I can do it! Men!

4. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? Extra credit if you have a picture of you with Santa! I don’t really remember. Sometime around 10yr or so, thanks to my cousins.

5. Fill in the blank; For me Christmas just wouldn't be the same without _______? Hands down, my family. Doesn’t matter where we are or what we are doing. I need my family.

That's it! The 5'er!!! I got it done first thing this morning with a headache and everything. Have fun...I can't wait to see your answers!!

To see the list of all who played last week click on the link below. I started a journal just for that purpose!!!

Robin's 5'er

POST YOUR ANSWERS AT ROBIN'S!

1. Do you already have your Christmas tree up? If so when did you put it up? If not when will you put it up? Well, we were out of town for Thanksgiving and got home Wed about 7pm. Up went the tree right after I said "Okay Stephanie, now you may put up the Christmas decorations!"

2. Do you have any particular theme when it comes to decorating your tree? Maybe you do all Disney ornaments? Only blue lights? Tell us how you decorate your tree. Kudos if you have a picture and post it. Oh just whatever feels good this year. But we do collect Santas!

3. What is your all time favorite ornament? Only one. Kudos again if you have a picture and post it. Oh...do I have to pick just one?

4. How many stockings do you hang and are any of them for pets? And...where do you hang them? (Not everyone has a fireplace) I'm so bad. I hardly ever hang stockings.

5. Tell us about one of your Christmas traditions. Well, I don't know if we really have any traditions. It depends on if we are working or not, and this year we are. But if we are off, we go to Christmas Eve services and read the "Christmas Story" before going to bed. Put out cookies, milk for Santa.

That's it! Now get to it...Santa Clause is watching you. :)

Sunday Seven - Episode 12

Play along with Patrick, won't cha?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Like the Saturday Six, the Sunday Seven has a new home. Unfortunately, though the questions from the previous eleven weeks will be posted here over the next few weeks, I won't be able to bring all of the old comments...so if you'd like to "replay" a set or if you missed one of the earlier ones, now is your chance!

This Thursday is Thanksgiving Day, which means that this Friday is the first day of the Christmas shopping season. So there's your theme for this week's question.

First, it was Betty of "
Of mini-pause and menopause" who was first to play last week. Congratulations to Betty.

So here we go with the first playing on Blogger!

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Name the top seven stores where you are most likely to do the majority of your Christmas shopping this year. If you can't name seven, name as many up to seven as you can. You can also include online retailers, too.

Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered "first to play," a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.)

I haven't even begun to shop this year, as opposed to last year when I was practically through by this time. Hmmmmmm, let's see:

1. Amazon.com (always good)

2. WalMart (a must)

3. Old Navy (an addiction)

4. Barnes & Noble (for my book readers of which there are many)

5. Best Buy (for my computer nuts)

6. Ebay (if I get going)

7. Bath & Body Works (always works)

Robin's Friday Five - Episode 1 (Okay...I know it's Sunday)

Well....I got canceled for the 3rd time this week. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! So I might as well post a few entries. Found this via Patrick. Play along, won't cha?

Robin's Friday Five

The following is a new weekly meme set up by Robin of "These are the Days of our Lives" at AOL. She's hoping that it will give everyone who has stayed and those who have left AOL a common place within AOL to let people know where they now are.

Those who no longer wish to play the Saturday Six since it is no longer on AOL should at least play Robin's quiz and keep the spirt there going.

Here are my answers. Remember for this one, don't leave your answers to this set of questions here: go to
Robin's journal and leave them there!

1. What is the one thing on your Thanksgiving table that you will NOT eat? Like Patrick I say "Just one thing?" I, too, hate dark turkey meat and cranberry sauce. I also hate turkey (giblet) gravy.

2. Did you ever play in a pile of leaves as a kid? If so do you have a picture of you or someoneyou know playing in the fall leaves? Post it if you do! Yes, at Papa & Nanny's...but alas no pic with me.

3. When you think of Fall what are the three things that come to mind? Cooler weather, changing leaves, fireplaces.

4. When was the last time you had pumpkin pie? Was it last year or have you already had some this year? Ewwwwwwwww! I hate pumpkin pie! (See I told you I would think of something else)

5. Tell us something really nice about the last person you read an email from. It was from Betty and I was overjoyed to hear from her!

Saturday Six - Episode 84

Check out Patrick's New Site and play along. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Welcome! Here is the first permanent playing of the "Saturday Six" outside of AOL. Playing is simple: you can either answer the questions in this journal or you can answer them in your own blog and leave a link. It is strongly recommended that you answer the journals in your blog and post the link...since several of the people who are playing have relocated away from AOL, it's important that everyone knows where your new (or temporary) blogging homes are, so if you don't mind, leave a first name and your journal's link, just so we can find you easier!

But before the questions, the tradition of the "Saturday Six" is to recognize the first one to play the week before. Unfortunately, I don't have the answers or links people left last week because there was no easy way to transfer them from AOL, but I can at least say that Chris, of "The Adventures of a Coastie Wife," (journal temporarily private) who was the first person to leave a link to the specific entry in which he answered the questions. Congratulations, Chris.

Here are this week's "Saturday Six" questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal...but either way, leave a link to your journalso that everyone else can visit! If you don't have an AOL journal, you can still play, but of course you'll at least need an AOL screen name, which you can get for free with AOL Instant Messenger, to be able to leave a comment here. To be counted as "first to play," you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. (Again, if you're playing for the first time, please be sure to say so in the comment!) Enjoy!

1. What was the last movie you watched at a theater completely alone? Would you have enjoyed it more or less if you had gone with someone to see it? It was Starship Troopers. I always enjoy a movie with the right company.

2. What was the last non-sexual thing you did around the house completely naked? Iron.

3. How well do you know your neighbors? Would you like to know them better or not know them? Don't know them at all. Have no desire to after my experience in Moore, OK.

4. Take this quiz: How much of a conspiracy nut are you?
You are 33% Conspiracy NutYou are a little bit of a conspiracy nut. You know about the big conspiracies - but it doesn't take up too much of your time. You have accepted that people lie, and get away with everything - so you don't dwell on the loch ness monster too often.

5. Of the following "conspiracies" mentioned in that quiz, which single one would you most like the "truth" about and why? Aliens...who wouldn't.

6. If you had to create a slogan that defined your life, what would it be? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh snap!

Best HP Yet!
by erarein (
movies profile) Nov 18, 2005 I don't read the books, and don't have a countdown until the "next" comes out, but I did wait in line with Hannah for 2 1/2 hours to see this movie at 12:01am (it ended up being 12:30am). Worth every minute of it. Best HP so far! The characters are growing up, the story line is improving, and for once, we finally get to see Lord Voldermort. Excellent. A must see! Word of caution...darkest one yet so choose wisely with letting the little ones view.

AOL Ads & Exodus

What to do....what to do?! I am deeply saddened to see the mass exodus being conducted by my JLand friends due to the recent addition of ads on our journals by AOL. I'm in a spot. I don't subscribe to AOL, my internet service is with a different provider, so will my leaving even affect AOL? I want to be supportive of my fellow JLanders, and I understand everyone's stand on this issue. I just am facing a hard decision.

Whatever happens, please let me know if you leave and where you go, and I will do the same! I just love all my new friends!

Hugs to everyone!

Tuesday Two - Episode 6

Go to Patrick's Place

Picture from Hometown

Thanks to those who played last week's double edition of the Tuesday Two. And as hard as it is to believe, it's already time for another edition. They say that the older you get, the faster time flies. With a birthday around the corner, I could do without such a harsh reminder of reality...but what can one do?

Congratulations to Raven, of "So This Is Life?!" who was first to answer that double edition.

Now, onto this week's choice of questions. And remember the rules: one topic, two questions, ONE ANSWER! Don't answer both questions! You'll find out why in December!

THIS WEEK'S TOPIC: NUDITY

QUESTION A:
You are invited to a party at a nudist colony through a program that seeks to introduce the concept to people who aren't already members. You know the following things going in: 1) There'll be nothing "inappropriate" going on, 2) You won't know anyone who is there, and 3) You'll never again see any of the people who are present for the rest of your life. Given these conditions, would you attend?

or

QUESTION B:

While housesitting for a close friend, you discover some nude photos of your friend that were left out in the open, and apparently completely by accident. Would you look at the photos, and would you tell your friend that you found them? Well…yes. I mean, aren’t we all voyeurs at heart. And heck no, I would never tell! Well maybe cause just possibly it wasn’t on accident after all. (Did I just admit this?!)

Saturday Six - Episode 83

Play along at Patrick's Place

Picture from Hometown

Me? Miss a "Saturday Six?" Never! It's been a spectacularly long week. And add to that the fact that I've actually been working on these questions off and on all day. I've changed a few, then changed them back, then changed them again. I hope you like what I finally came up with!

But before the questions, it's time to recognize the first person to play last week. That honor went to Jim, of "skelligrants," who was the first person to leave a link to the specific entry in which he answered the questions. Congratulations, Jim.

To those who aren't sure how to add the address of the specific entry, it's easy: once you've posted that entry in your journal, go to the bottom of that entry, click the "Link to this entry" hyperlink, then when that page loads, simply copy the address that appears in your browser window. In addition to the normal web address, right after your journal's name, it will say "/entries/" and a number. That whole URL is the web address to the specific entry in your journal.

And I don't think there were any first-timers last week. If there were, they didn't say so, so let me know if I missed someone!

Here are this week's "Saturday Six" questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal...but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit!

1. You are invited to spend a night, alone, in a large house that is believed to be haunted. A close friend of yours whom you trust tells you of his or her own experience, and you have sufficient reason to believe that there may be a genuine haunting going on there. Without promise of any kind of reward for staying the night, would you agree to do so? You’d have to pay me a hell of a lot of money…and I mean a lot of money!

2. What do you most enjoy about your job? Making a difference.

3. Who was the last person you had a conversation with? What was the main topic of the conversation?
David…the boy is asleep and so was I. I love you.

4. Take this quiz: What kind of "smart" are you?
All-Around Smart

You are all-around smart. Essentially, that means that you are a good combination of your own knowledge and experience, along with having learned through instruction - and you are equally as good with theoretical things as you are with real-world, applied things. You have a well-rounded brain.

5. What was the last food that you totally ruined -- to the point that it was inedible -- when trying to cook?
Omg…you had to ask. Okay…my mom’s pork chops and gravy. And it’s all Kathryn’s fault because I wanted this for dinner and she didn’t want to cook it but “told me how” while she made the mashed potatoes. Oh yeah, thanks a lot, Kathryn! I don’t know if I can ever eat this again…and it’s my fav meal!

6. STRANGELY-OBSCURE QUESTION #1: If you had to do over again, would you change anything?
Yes….have my kids at David & my wedding. We did the Justice of Peace thing which I loved, but didn’t have any of the kids there, they were in school. Big mistake, lots of hurt feelings and I feel like they missed a very important part of our lives.

Sunday Seven - Episode 10

Post your answer at Patrick's Place!

Picture from Hometown

Now that it's November, Thanksgiving will soon be upon us. The great feast held by the Pilgrims back in 1621, which is commonly referred to as the "First Thanksgiving," was really the only Thanksgiving most of them celebrated; there was no official annual celebration at that time.

Thanksgiving Day became an official American holiday after Abraham Lincoln set it on the last Thursday of November in a proclamation of 1863. Later, Franklin D. Roosevelt would change it to specifically the fourth Thursday of November.

Regardless of the early history of the holiday, for most families, there are definite traditions when it comes to the menu for the big day.

Before the official question, it's time to recognize Jeannette of "Jeannette's Jottings," a Vivi Award nominee, as the first person to answer last week's question about a Halloween Horror Movie Marathon. Congratulations to Jeannette!

Now, it's time to set aside your fear of the dark and things that go bump in the night, unloosen your belt one more notch, and get into the spirit of Thanksgiving...dinner!

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Name seven foods that you wouldn't consider your Thanksgiving dinner complete without.

Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered "first to play," a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.)

1. Turkey & Dressing (has to be Nanny’s)

2. Sweet Potatoes (with melted marshmallows)

3. Green Bean Casserole (a staple)

4. Relish Tray (olives, pickles, cheese – for Rachel)

5. Squash Casserole (only time of year I get squash)

6. Homemade Bread (Kathryn I’m counting on you!)

7. Homemade Peach Cobbler (mine)

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Movie Review - Chicken Little

A teaser poster for Disney's Chicken Little The movie picks up where the classic fable ends, namely after our pint-sized hero has caused big-time havoc when he mistakes a falling acorn for a piece of the sky. In the wake of the "unfortunate acorn incident" Chicken Little's name is mud in his hometown of Oakey Oaks. Down but not out, he struggles mightily to restore his reputation and make his Dad, Buck Cluck, proud. Chicken Little joins the local baseball team and, despite the fact that he is barely bigger than a baseball himself, he manages to smack a championship-winning homerun. With one crack of the bat, the town laughingstock becomes the toast of Oakey Oaks. But no sooner has Chicken Little redeemed himself then he is conked on the head one more time. And this time the sky really is falling! Fearful of once again being labeled crazy, Chicken Little tells no one but his best friends, Runt of the Litter, Abby Mallard A.K.A Ugly Duckling and Fish Out of Water, about the threat that hangs over Oakey Oaks. Together this misfit crew tries to save the day. Chicken Little eventually discovers that he needs to risk his newfound popularity and alert his father and the town. When Buck realizes Chicken Little actually has it right this time, he unites with his son and his friends as they set out to save the world. Genres: Action/Adventure, Comedy and Animation Running Time: 1 hr. 21 min. Release Date: November 4th, 2005 (wide) MPAA Rating: G

Brave Little Chicken
by erarein (
movies profile) Nov 13, 2005 Oh this was so cute! Fun for kids and adults. Word of warning though, there are some pretty scary looking aliens that had my 5yr old covering his eyes and climbing in my lap. All in all pretty funny. Especially the part where Chicken Little goes "Ohhhhhhhhh.....snap!" That was a joke only Kathryn, Hannah and I got, or at least I figure as we were the only ones laughing and one lady goes "why are they laughing?". Go see it for yourself!

Tuesday Two - Episode 5

Go on over to Patrick's Place... Picture from Hometown

Is it really November already? How did that happen? One minute we were turning the clocks backwards...the next minute we're one step closer to the end of the year!

Because of the Vivi Awards -- yes, I'm still counting -- I wasn't able to get a Tuesday Two out last week, so this week, it's the Tuesday Two X 2...two sets of questions.

Just as always, answer one question in each pair...not both! There's a reason why I'm asking you to answer just one, and we'll get to that in a few more weeks.

First, congratulations to Betty, of "Of mini-paws and menopause," who was first to tackle last week's question about prejudice.

Now, onto this week's topics:

THIS WEEK'S TOPIC #1: SONGS

QUESTION A:
Name a song that somehow connects you and another person: a loved one, an ex, or a friend or family member...and describe how it became "your song."

It would have to be “Truly, Madly, Deeply” by Savage Garden. It was the first song that was playing when David and I started dating, and it seemed every time we got into the car thereafter for a long while….”it was a sign”. I still get a rush when I hear it.

I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do..
I will be strong I will be faithful
'Cos I'm counting on a new beginning.
A reason for living.
A deeper meaning.

I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me...

And when the stars are shining brightly
In the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish
Send it to heaven
Then make you want to cry..
The tears of joy
For all the pleasure and the certainty.
That we're surrounded
By the comfort and protection of..
The highest power.
In lonely hours.
The tears devour you..
I want to stand with you on a mountain,
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever,
Until the sky falls down on me...
Bridge

Oh can't you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes
'Cos it's standing right before you.
All that you need will surely come...

I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do...

I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the skyfalls down on me...

QUESTION B:

What was the last song you heard on the radio that really hit anerve with you? What about it made you really feel like it was written about you?

THIS WEEK'S TOPIC #2: YOUR WORST ENEMY

QUESTION A:

If you feel that you are your worst enemy, then think about the worst quality you have that makes you feel this way: if you had the power to remove that quality from your personality with the snap of a finger, would you? Why or why not? Oh can’t we all be our own worst enemy. Mine is worrying about everything, sometimes to obsession. I don’t know that I would want to get rid of my worrying because I feel that it is a strong motivator for me to get things accomplished, but I do need the obsession part to lift a tad bit.

or

QUESTION B:

If your worst enemy is someone besides you, what would it take to resolve the situation...and what would it take for you to be the one to start that process?
