Monday - And I'm Just Not Feeling the Love

Okay I can take a  hint. Only one person asked me questions from my "Ask Anything" post on Saturday.  Well, at least Lily loves me, lol...

1. Was your first kisses generally horrible in your opinion? Hmmmm...that must have been before the time of dinosaurs, but from what I remember yes.  There was a lot of slobber.
2. What was your first car like?  My first car was one I purchased myself with a little help from my Mom.  It was a four door sedan, 1983 Chevrolet Cavalier.  It didn't have air conditioning and I had to have it installed (living in Texas heat) and I lost my glove box in trade.  It always seemed to have one trouble or another.  But I made it last 8 years before I inherited my ex-husbands Honda Civic hatchback so he could get a new car.  I hate hatchbacks to this day.
3. Have you ever lived without a roommate?  No not really.  I went from college roommates to my ex, to being a single Mom with my daughter as a roommate, to being married to David.

Ask Anything & The Saturday Six

Got this from Dawn over at Carpe Diem and thought what the hey...so play along and leave a link why don't ya?.

(A) First I recommend:

1.  A movie:  When Harry Met Sally.  "I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."

2.  An artist (books or comics):  Meg Cabot.  Getting past the Princess Diary books, Ms. Cabot has numerous other good reads for teens and adults who still feel like teens.

3.  A musical artist, song, or album:  I'm going to have to pick two, both from American Idol.  Daughtry and Bo Bice.  Daughtry if you like Rock, and Bo Bice if you like good ole Southern Rock.

(B)    Now, I want everyone who reads this and comments (per Dawn's instructions), to ask me three questionsAsk me anything you want. No kidding, ANYTHING, I'll give you the absolute honest truth as long as it's not too personal, lol!  (nothing relating to address or phone though)

It’s official: summer hasn’t started, yet, and I’m already ready for fall and the accompanying cooler temperatures. Friday - Spread A Little Love

I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Hey, how ya doing?  Me, I think I just slept 20 out of 24 hours yesterday.  I got up and then 4 hours later was back asleep for the rest of the night recovering from working a lot the last few weeks.   

We've been pretty busy at work lately despite this being the start of our "slow" season.  There was this funny little 91 year old man the other night who lived alone and came in for a cough, but it quickly became apparent that he needed emotional attention as well.  He was on his light constantly and I responded every time getting him something to drink, blankets, helping him get more comfortable in bed, etc.  Then he had the nerve to ask me right before I took him upstairs "I just want to know am I getting any service here?"  I decided it was in his best interest not to get him a pillow so I wouldn't suffocate him in the elevator on the way up to his room.  Here's hoping that he will remember my kind act of mercy, lol.

I went over to my friend Jackie's house today to let one of her students do permanent makeup on me.  I decided on my brows.  The student wanted to do my eyes, too, but when she was out of the room Jackie said "Don't let her do your eyes, she is one the worst students I've had".  Jackie kept getting upset with her and then said "here just let me finish".  Egads!  I thought we fixed it, but I just looked in the mirror and my brows are two different shapes.  Ugh.  Thank goodness I have the same color and a machine to correct it.  Of course I could go back to Jackie and she would fix it and feel horrible about it, but I don't want her to be any more upset than she already is.  Poor thing, I thought she was going to murder the student.  On second thought, I think I might let her, ha ha.

blink8400.gifI don't know what I'm doing tomorrow, probably just stuff around the house that has been needing to get done.  Maybe we'll catch a movie or something.  How about you?  What are your plans for the weekend?
