"What does fall mean to you? Not everybody in J-land has 4 extreme seasons, so what does the season change mean where you live?"
Well…. we just moved to AZ so this will be my first fall here. I can already tell you the temperatures are getting cooler. Mostly just in the upper 90s now, and coolness about in the air. Not so much a “bake your brain” heat radiating off the cement. The kids are complaining that the pool is getting “cold” now. But I grew up in beautiful East Texas where there are tons of trees and I loved watching the leaves change color. Fall because it means you survived another summer. I love to feel the change in the air and getting out my warmer clothes, lighting a fire. I do hear it gets cool here in AZ in the evenings and have already seen the temperatures dropping into the low 70s at night. Another favorite of fall is Halloween & Thanksgiving, which is around my birthday. Time to start the family gatherings. I love fall.

My son is a freshman at UA at Tucson, and I'm going out from Dallas to visit him for parents' weekend in two weeks. I can't wait, as I found Arizona to be very beautiful when I drove him out this summer. I'm sitting here smiling, though, thinking that I'm better off checking your journal for weather reports than trying to get that info from Mike.
