Movie Review: The Chronicles of Narnia

Walt Disney Pictures' The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe   Follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings--Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter--in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide and seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs, and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Under the guidance of a noble and mystical ruler, the lion Aslan, the children fight to overcome the White Witch's powerful hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle that will free Narnia from Jadis' icy spell forever.
Also Known As: One Hundred Year Winter Paravel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Production Status: Released Genres: Action/Adventure, Science Fiction/Fantasy and Adaptation Running Time: 2 hrs. 12 min. Release Date: December 9th, 2005 (wide) MPAA Rating: PG for battle sequences and frightening moments

A MUST SEE!  This movie is an excellent adaption of CS Lewis' book.  I recommend it for the whole family.  Word of caution for the little ones though, there are scary moments with ugly beasts and battle scenes.

This is a must see...we took our 5 year old daughter to this movie and she loved it.  We still had to explain some parts of it to her, but other than that she loved at as did my husband and I.  This movie as Delana has mentioned does have some fearful moments...but I am sure if you explain them to your kids they will understand.  Also look for ALL the analogies to the Bible as you see this movie..it is quite interesting!!!  Tara
