It's Friday

Well how is everyone on this Friday night?  I am feeling a little better than I did yesterday.  Thank goodness for antibiotics.  I also slept a lot today.  I got up and got Caleb from school at 2:15.  I then went right back to bed and slept until a little boy said "Mom, it's 5:30.  Don't you want to get up?"  No, lol.  "Oh, okay".  And he went hopping back into the living room and said "I'm so glad you're awake Mom".  Poor little boy.  I slept more yesterday than I usually do before going to work, was gone all night, and then slept for 3hrs after he got home.  I get conflicted about sleeping too much when I'm working, but then if I don't get some decent sleep then I'm too tired to interact with my family or do much of anything else.  So what to do.  No...I don't want to work days.  Besides, I would be gone from 6am to 7:30 or 8:00pm.  I think the night shift is best as I am gone most when the kids are asleep.

Stephanie came and got Hannah and took her to her karate class, otherwise we just hung out.  I ordered pizza and made Caleb happy.  Has anyone tried the Bar-B-Q Chicken pizza from Papa Johns?  I did today and it was yummy.  Has chicken, Bar-B-Q sauce, onions and pineapple on it.  I think next time I would cancel out the onions, but it was sure good.  Like I need pizza, ha!

Work wasn't too bad last night.  It was my first official shift as a hospital employee.  Made me feel a little different, more a part of things I guess.  I don't know how else to describe it.  Everyone keeps telling me how happy they are that I'm an employee now.  That definitely makes me feel good.

We had a pretty calm night for a nearly full-moon Thursday night.  The worst part of the night was the ambulance bay kept getting stuck open and it got cold last night.  There must have been a pretty good breeze because you could definitely tell whenever anyone walked in or out.

I did have this one lady that was pretty psycho.  She came in complaining about lower abdominal pain for about a month and included some female issues.  So we had to switch rooms and put her in our "pelvic" room (yea).  Once in there she tells the doctor and I that she doesn't think "we really belong here and we are playing games on her".  Yeah right.  I just sneak into random hospitals so I can perform female exams on everyone. Sure thing, sweetie.  Then she kept getting more wierd.  She ended it by refusing a CT Scan and telling me "I just put my hands between my legs and it smells like pee.  Just what did you people do to me?  What did you put inside of me?!"  Okay...sign here and thank you for visiting.  Come back again real soon, you hear?

I think tomorrow David & I are going to look for me a newer vehicle.  I'd like another Land Rover Discovery, or barring that I've seen a BMW SUV I like too for a pretty good price.

Well I'm going to veg in front of the TV for a while and then head off to bed.  I'll check in on you guys tomorrow. :)
