My how the week just flies! It's Tuesday again and I haven't posted in a whole week. I've been busy working and doing taxes. I hate taxes, but then doesn't everyone?
I have egg on my face. Remember that new nurse, C? Well I finally found her Illinois license. I just put in the first two letters of her last name and it came up. How weird is that? You'd think when I put in her whole last name it would come up, but it didn't. I did say something to my director about her, now I will have to apologize when I go into work tonight. But I still say she doesn't act like someone who has been a nurse for 13 years. We'll just have to see how she does.
I went to see a new GYN today referred to me by my urologist. There was an overwhelming confirmation from her that I need a hysterectomy. Yea! Someone who finally listened to me! She said that even though I could not have a vaginal hysterectomy, I'm the "perfect candidate" for this new robotic laproscopic hysterectomy (called the da Vinci) that will be minimally less invasive and have a shorter recovery time. The only thing she has to do is consult with my urologist and set up the surgery sometime in June or July. I can hardly wait. I think my time for living in constant pain is slowly coming to an end. Whoopee!
My Mom got flew in today around 3:30pm to spend the week. Poor thing looked wind blown. I said "was it a rough flight?" and she just laughed and said "a little". We got home and hung out. I cooked dinner of Sausage and Shrimp Jumbalya, Green Beans, Black Eyed Peas, Cornbread and Spaghetti for the boy. Oh and fresh strawberries. The sad thing about my Mom being out here means that this Sunday Hannah goes back to Oklahoma for 7 weeks. Boo!
David has worked hard the last few days and built a wall bed and completed it tonight just in time for my Mom to sleep in it. I told her jokingly that it was finished just in time so it could fall on her and crush her. Mom just laughed and said that it wouldn't do me any good to kill her off because I wasn't in the will and the life insurance was so small and split 5 ways wouldn't be very much. I said "Oh never mind, I'll just tell David to make sure it's securely attached to the wall then." LOL. But this is so cool because Lindsi has been sleeping on a blowup mattress, so now there is a real bed in there. And when no one is using it, the bed can be folded up against the wall. David is also going to build some bookcases to go along with it.
Well, I hope you guys had a great week. I have to work tonight and Wednesday, but am off until Sunday night, after Mom and Hannah leave.
Ciao! De ;)
