Disappointing History
by erarein (movies profile) Oct 19, 2005 I went to this movie with high expectations given the overwhelming positive reviews and the fact that I think Viggo Mortensen is a very good actor. This movie is very disappointing. The story starts off extremely slow, builds up fast and climaxes right in the middle, and just lets you down from there on out. The sex scenes are a bit grafic and unnecessary, to say the least, to tell the story. The ending is just hollow and leaves you wishing you could get your money back. Save your $ for the rental.

Thanks De; never heard of this movie. Its a shame that it isn't a very good movie with the cast that is in it. Most of the actors are pretty well known and I like their work.
I never know why they have to put sex scenes in a movie - most of the time it does nothing to add or aide in the plot.

Ugh, thanks for the warning about sex scenes. I really don't like them, I've almost never seen one that actually had something to do with the story. I was wanting to see this movie but now I'm definitely considering a rental. Thanks for the heads up.
