Saturday Six Episode 70

Saturday Six from Patrick's Place:

1. A reader to "Men's Journal" recently wrote about technological innovations, stating that there isn't any gadget he couldn't live without:  "To see how vital technology is, spend a few days in the backcountry without your phone, pager, PDA, laptop, cappuccino machine, or MP3 player.  You'll emerge cleansed and refreshed."  Could you go a whole week really roughing it with no modern conveniences?  Would you want to?  Oh I could...but I sure as heck don't want to.  I spent a week camping and roughing it about 20yrs ago at Big Bend National Park in Texas.  Headed home we spent the night at a hotel.  That was the most glorious hour long shower I have ever taken!  I think I would miss my computer the most, next my cell phone.

2. What is the most you've ever paid for a:
    A) Shirt $75 (my office days)
    B) Pair of Shoes $125 (again, my office days)
    C) CD or Album $25 (a double CD)
    D) DVD $37 (Lord of the Rings Special Ed)
    E) Book $100 (first edition autographed by Lance Armstrong)
    F) Vacation $5000 (working vacation - learned permanent makeup)

3. Looking back at the answers to#2, which one was the most foolish?  Oh I don't know that any were.  The clothes were good quality and lasted several years while working for lawyers.  The CD, DVD and book were Christmas presents for my family.   The "working" vacation is still making me money.

4. Take this quiz:   Which snack food are you?

5. There are three wells:  Love, Beauty and Creativity.  If you could only drink from one of them, which would you choose and why?  Well...since I don't have a Creative bone in my body that is what I would choose.  I have a lot of Love, and Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, only skins deep, etc etc etc.

6. If you were another person, do you think you would be friends with the person you know as yourself?  I think so.  I'm not such a bad person, right?

1: Yah I guess I could but just don’t put me in a field by my self. I’ve got kenophobia which is the opposite of claustrophobia. O well I would want a toilet and toilet paper!
2: A) bout 13 dollars for a bean and bailey ( these two guys who do comedy stuff for kids) shirt
b) zero bucks  lol thanks to my mommy and daddy *O (wink)
c) 19.98 plus tax :D (big grin)  A Harry Potter CD thing. It only had a portion of the songs on it so once I get SS ( sorcerer’s stone) I’m gonna sell them on Ebay.
d)  hmmmm I don’t think I’ve ever bought  a DVD for my self or anyone else.
e) I think $25 for the lord of the rings trilogy.
f) shrugs I don’t remember how much but I spent $40 on my last trip to  S. Padre. The most  money  I’ve spent at one store!
3) Probably the Harry Potter CD’s since they only had some of the songs on them.
4) Nuts: Wild and well…. Nutty, you are the type of person who would feel at home in either a circus or a mental institution. Even though you may be void of rational thought process, you are without a doubt one-of-a-kind, and people love your vitality and ability to scare off animals and old people.
5)  I would choose to have more creativity. Although I already have creativeness in me having more might making the difference between life and death. And besides Picasso didn’t have hears but he was still  a great artist right?
6) Probably not. I might scare myself off. J/k ya I probably would.
